Cambridge EduX Hackathon 2026 - Oceania Edition (Sydney)
Week-long education hackathon where developers, educators and designers team up to prototype AI-driven learning tools with mentorship from Cambridge and Microsoft advisors.
You'll spend a week prototyping AI-driven education tools alongside developers, educators, designers and researchers, with mentorship from Microsoft specialists and Cambridge advisors like Dan Hart, who led NSW's massive generative AI rollout in schools. The sprint runs remotely across April 2-8, culminating in pitches at UTS on Demo Day, where winning teams unlock Microsoft Azure credits, internships at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and pathways into the Microsoft Startup Program. If you're new to hackathons, there's dedicated support including no-code workshops and team formation help. The challenge briefs come from real organisations like CSIRO, the Australian Institute for Machine Learning and University of Sydney, so you're solving problems that actually matter in the ed-tech ecosystem.
